Steam Autumn Sale 2026

The Steam Autumn Sale has a fixed finish line: October 8, 2026, at 10 a.m. Pacific. Valve's official event page lists October 1–8 for this year's promotion. For shoppers in Turkey, the closing time is 8 p.m.; in the UK, it is 6 p.m.

A deadline makes it tempting to treat every discount as an urgent decision. A better approach is to check whether the version in your basket is actually the one you wanted. A large percentage reduction cannot answer that question for you.

When Does the Steam Autumn Sale End?

The announced window closes at 17:00 UTC on October 8. Those conversions use the daylight-saving rules in force on that date. Check the individual product's store page too, rather than assuming that every publisher promotion follows the same countdown.

Compare the Contents, Not Just the Edition Name

Start with the base game. Then read the itemized contents of any Deluxe, Complete or Ultimate edition alongside it. A more expensive package might add playable expansions, but it might instead contain a soundtrack, an art book or cosmetics. Those can be worthwhile extras without being the right purchase for someone who only wants to play the campaign.

For a bundle, compare its contents with your existing library and read the final price presented to your account. Do not assume that every bundle handles previously owned games in the same way. The useful number is what you would actually pay for the items you still want, not the combined list price of everything shown.

Make One Last Regional Store Check

Use the price and availability shown in your own Steam store. A deal screenshot from another country is not a reliable quote for your checkout. Before paying, review the supported languages, platform requirements and any stated dependency on a base game.

A compact shortlist also helps: one game you intend to start soon, any expansion you already know you want, and a firm spending limit. Everything else can stay on the wishlist. This is a shopping checklist, not a claim that every title is at its lowest historical price; we have not independently price-tested the entire sale.
