Steam VAC Ban Checker
Check whether a Steam account has a VAC ban using a SteamID64 or profile URL. View profile status, account details, and inventory context information.
What is a Steam VAC Ban?
Valve Anti-Cheat (VAC) is an automated system designed to detect cheats installed on users' computers. When a player uses cheat software on a VAC-secured server, they receive a permanent VAC ban on that account for the offending game(s).
VAC bans are permanent and cannot be removed, even if the account is appealed. A banned player is removed from VAC-secured servers, but can still play non-secure servers and other games that don't use VAC.
Unlike trade bans, VAC bans are game-specific. An account can have a VAC ban in CS2 but still trade freely and play other titles without restriction.

Frequently Asked Questions
What is a Steam VAC ban?
A VAC (Valve Anti-Cheat) ban is a permanent ban issued by Valve when their anti-cheat system detects cheating software on a user's account. VAC bans are permanent and game-specific — they restrict the player from playing VAC-secured servers in that game.
What information does this checker show?
This tool shows VAC ban status, trade ban state, privacy settings, limited account flag, member since date, location, inventory/game presence, and online state — all fetched directly from Steam's official data.
Can a VAC-banned account still trade?
Yes, in most cases. A VAC ban does not automatically result in a trade ban. Trade bans are issued separately for market or trading violations. This checker shows both statuses independently.
How do I find a SteamID64?
You can use our Steam ID Finder tool to convert a profile URL or vanity name into a SteamID64. Alternatively, you can paste a full Steam profile URL (e.g. steamcommunity.com/profiles/...) directly into the checker.
Why does the checker show no results for a profile?
If a Steam profile is set to private, some account data may not be returned by the API. Try entering the SteamID64 directly. Public profiles return the most complete results.
Is this VAC ban checker free?
Yes, this tool is completely free to use. There are no limits on lookups and no account required.
