ZeroSpace combines real-time strategy combat with a role-playing saga set in the Orion sector, where rival factions contest power and humanity’s future. Players can take the role of Aster, commander of the Protectorate, and make story choices that shape the galaxy, or choose another faction and fight for its interests. This blend gives the battles a wider political and narrative setting than a standalone skirmish.
On the battlefield, players deploy infantry, artillery and air units, with mechs and orbital weapons among the arsenal described. Its streamlined but deep unit-control system supports both close management of individual forces and larger army formations. Faction identity also changes the character of the conflict: the Grell spread biomass across battlefields, while the Legion can overwhelm opponents with expendable troops. Strategic buildcraft and troop deployment are available in solo play, with a friend or against other players.
The game’s formats range from a cinematic single-player campaign to cooperative and competitive battles, alongside a persistent shared galactic war in which players contest territory and neighboring planets. ZeroSpace’s defining appeal is this connection between faction warfare, army command and a galaxy-spanning RPG premise.
