This turn-based RPG follows Septem, a Frankish knight sent by Pepin III to seek the Invincible Arts of War. His journey begins in Venice and crosses the Middle East and Western Regions toward China, drawing him into local power struggles and the ambitions of Satan. The story places this west-to-east journey amid the Tang Empire’s prosperity, Europe’s Dark Ages, and the rise of the Arabian Empire.
Combat has a distinctive crafting layer: Septem can capture enemies with the Spirit Fusion Pot, then use monsters and items from its codex to create something new. Choosing an Eastern or Western altar affects the result, tying a practical battle mechanic to the game’s broader meeting of cultures. Historical events and figures share the adventure with fantasy, including the Battle of Talas, the An Lushan Rebellion, Taoists, Medusa, and other mythical creatures.
The game presents its Eurasian setting through ink-painted maps, characters, and battle backgrounds, while its story visits places including Venice, Damascus, and Chang’an. High-resolution graphics, a reworked UI, controller support, and the China Episode are also listed among its features and changes.
