XenoHaven turns the idea of an alien outpost into a hands-on settlement and squad game. Players recruit familiars and assign them to jobs such as farming, mining, cooking, and crafting, gradually transforming barren land into a working home. Those companions also have a combat role: improve their attributes, shape them for battle, and form a squad for threats beyond the base.
That domestic routine sits alongside exploration and conflict. Dangerous dungeons and rival factions give the squad reasons to leave home, while weapons and gear help prepare it for fights. Back at the base, players can produce goods, stock a shop, attract merchants, and develop a restaurant with food, entertainment, and lodging. The game connects settlement-building with combat and commerce rather than treating the base as only a staging area.
Shared projects include farming, running a shop, and exploring regions, while Steam Workshop support lets players create new themes for their areas. The overall design pairs a customizable home with squad development, trade, and dangers that make defending that home part of the premise.
