WWE 2K24 builds its premise around the spectacle and history of professional wrestling. Its 2K Showcase of the Immortals revisits defining WrestleMania matches, while a roster mixing WWE legends and current Superstars brings famous entrances and signature moves into the ring. The result is a sports simulation shaped as much by wrestling’s larger-than-life characters as by match outcomes.
The match formats range from Guest Referee and Casket bouts to Gauntlet and Ambulance matches, with Backstage Brawl supporting multiple Superstars. Outside the ring, MyRISE offers separate men’s and women’s career arcs with original storylines. MyGM puts players in charge of competing brands, where they can trade Superstars, manage contracts, and make decisions as rival general managers. Universe mode takes a broader sandbox approach, letting players develop feuds and weekly shows, with rivalry actions, cutscenes, and double-title matches.
It combines solo career and management modes with local competition and online multiplayer, including ranked quickplay in MyFACTION. The game’s mix of single-player storytelling, sandbox management, and head-to-head wrestling gives player activity several different contexts, rather than tying it to a single competitive mode.
