World War II: Panzer Claws is a real-time strategy game set on the battlefields of World War II, where players command Allied, German, or Russian forces. Its battlefield toolkit combines tanks and other vehicles with ground troops and air support, asking players to use those forces to pursue victory. The package includes both Panzer Claws I and Panzer Claws II, with the latter setting its conflict amid the occupation of France and the emergence of the French Resistance.
The campaign design extends beyond choosing a faction: four campaigns cover the Germans, Russians, Allies, and French Resistance, across more than 40 missions. Seasonal conditions shape strategy, while changing from day to night affects light and visibility. These environmental shifts give the missions a tactical dimension beyond the basic choice of units, making terrain and conditions part of how an operation unfolds.
Beyond its campaigns, Panzer Claws offers Skirmish missions, an editor for creating single-player or multiplayer scenarios, and multiplayer for up to eight players over LAN and EarthNet. Its combination of faction-based campaigns, battlefield units, and changing conditions defines a broader strategy experience.
