Wobbledogs is a single-player pet simulation centered on a personal group of dogs whose bodies and behavior can change in unexpected ways. With no built-in goals, its sandbox lets players choose whether to care for their pets, shape their habitat, or simply observe them.
The dogs’ changing forms are linked to simulated genetics and the food they eat. As they age, they periodically enter a pupal state and mutate; the flora in their guts influences those changes. Physical simulation means that dogs with different bodies experience the world in different ways, while personality traits shape how they tend to behave around other dogs and objects. Rather than following a fixed routine, players can watch an evolving group and influence its development.
Players can connect rooms and decorate a home, creating spaces such as a place to sleep, a maze, or a garden. Direct interaction is also part of the design: petting a dog can relieve stress, and players can help one that has wriggled into a tight space. Habitat-building, hands-on care, and passive observation sit alongside one another, allowing players to set their own priorities without a prescribed objective.
