Set in 184 AD, Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty reimagines the Later Han Dynasty as a land in collapse, beset by demons. You play a nameless militia soldier fighting to survive, while the story also follows officers during the period before they become heroes. Its dark-fantasy take on the Three Kingdoms gives the action a desperate backdrop: the protagonist begins as a nobody and must rise amid chaos.
Combat centers on Chinese martial-arts swordplay, with precise shifts between attack and defense and forceful strikes that can turn a fight. Defeating deadly enemies raises morale and helps awaken inner power; the game also describes strategies based on the Five Phases. Glaives, dual swords and other weapons offer different fighting styles, while Wizardry Spells draw on elemental powers such as fire and ice. Divine Beasts, summoned through alliances with other warriors, add another source of powerful attacks.
Character creation lets players customize the protagonist’s appearance, and the listed formats include single-player, co-op and online PvP.
