Winning Post 8 2017 is a detailed horse-racing simulation built around life as an owner and breeder in a miniature Japanese racing world. Rather than focusing solely on race results, it frames a career through the horses you develop, the bloodlines you shape and the history you create. This edition builds on the previous Winning Post 8 with additional elements intended to make that owner’s journey more dramatic and rewarding.
Breeding is a central part of the design. Expanded breeding theories include approaches focused on the dam line and combinations that depend on special conditions, giving breeders more avenues to pursue stronger racehorses. At the ranch, Strength Training offers substantial improvements to a horse’s base abilities at the cost of considerable vigor. The Charm Bonus system adds another layer of management, with items that can have effects such as helping with chronic disease or changing visuals and paths.
The racing world draws on Japanese history and contemporary-to-2017 race lists, with more than 300 featured star horses and a ranking of 100 historic horses. Players can pit their horses against celebrated names including Symboli Rudolf, Deep Impact and Orfevre, while victories contribute to their own racing legacy. Revised camera work, horse-running motion and varied race narration aim to heighten the sense of watching a live contest. The result combines breeding and stable decisions with a presentation shaped around the spectacle of Japanese racing.
