Wildmender casts you as a restorer of a world drained of life. Its central project is to turn a small oasis into a thriving garden, then push that green boundary outward across a vast desert. The work is both creative and practical: plant seeds, shape terrain, dig canals to direct water, and build structures, while protecting crops from natural forces and managing food and water on expeditions.
Beyond the garden, exploration leads through dunes, a drained sea, poisoned canyons and distant mountains, where resources, plants, creatures and ancient spirits offer reasons to venture farther. The survival routine sits alongside a mystery about the fallen civilization and the wraiths corrupting the land. Temples, gods and rediscovered magic connect that investigation to tools, abilities and weapons used to challenge the threat. Garden design is similarly hands-on, with crafted items and terrain changes letting players shape an oasis to their taste.
Wildmender supports solo play as well as online cooperative gardening for up to four players. Friends can tend the same garden, share resources and travel or fight together, while the need to feed the group adds a practical wrinkle to cooperation.
