Wildgate is a PvPvE multiplayer shooter built around crews, spacecraft and a hazardous, procedurally generated expanse called the Reach. Your ship is more than transport: it serves as the crew’s home and lifeline. Keeping it supplied with ice, fuel and ammunition is part of staying prepared while exploring and fighting.
Its encounters mix ship-to-ship combat with opportunistic tactics. Crews can fire hi-tech cannons, use gadgets, set traps or sabotage rival ships, while hazards, space creatures and alien ruins add competing threats and rewards. Players choose prospectors with individual abilities and tools, and can take on contrasting roles, from piloting and defending their own vessel to boarding enemy ships. Since the Reach changes with every game, routes and opportunities vary between outings.
Three modes give Wildgate’s multiplayer different objectives. Artifact Brawl centers on grabbing the Artifact and escaping through the Wildgate, though destroying every rival crew’s ship can also secure victory. Fleet Battle instead brings two large teams into direct combat, with up to twelve players on each side. Treasure Hunt shifts toward salvage and escape, asking crews to collect loot before they are destroyed.
