West Hunt turns the Old West into a contest of observation and deception. One player is the outlaw, who must carry out randomly generated missions while avoiding the sheriff; the other must identify and kill that outlaw without shooting a villager. Since the outlaw can resemble an ordinary townsfolk, suspicious behavior matters as much as appearance.
The outlaw can bribe the barman, poison water, rob the bank, tamper with the post board, or take on side missions to reduce notoriety. Meanwhile, the sheriff investigates, gathers information, and checks mailboxes for hints, with mailbox locations randomized each match. Voice chat gives both sides a way to communicate, while random outlaw missions and skins add variation to the setup. Sheriff customization, a pet dog that barks when the sheriff aims, and winning or losing emotes add character to the encounters.
Its format supports several kinds of play: the listed options include one-on-one, two-on-two, three-on-three, bot, and custom matches.
