Its premise centers on technology that lets people control the undead: hacked zombies become companions who can protect you from their peers, though their intelligence and stability are questionable. Survival involves more than roaming the wilderness. Players establish a camp, improve it over time, and build traps and fortifications to fend off persistent zombie threats. The undead can also handle camp chores, making them useful beyond combat. Between expeditions, players can choose to stay at camp or head into varied environments, including snow and desert settings.
