Warhammer 40,000: Dawn of War - Soulstorm is the final expansion to Dawn of War, a real-time strategy game set in the Warhammer 40,000 universe. Its central conflict plays out across a solar system: the campaign-style meta-game from Dark Crusade expands to cover multiple planets and moons, giving battles a broader strategic frame than a single battlefield.
Two new factions join the roster: the Sisters of Battle and the Dark Eldar, bringing the total to nine playable armies. Their contrasting identities shape the tactical flavor: Sisters of Battle field formidable units such as the Penitent Engine, while the Dark Eldar are described as fast raiders built around close combat and striking before reinforcements arrive. Each army also gains air units, adding another dimension to combat. The game lists 34 maps, and its customization options let players outfit a hero and personalize army insignias, colors, banners, and names.
Soulstorm supports both single-player and multiplayer, so its planetary conquest framework can be approached as a solo strategy experience or in online play.
