War of Dots pares real-time strategy down to a contest for territory and supply. Players command armies across varied maps, capturing cities to gain an economic advantage while trying to defeat their rivals. Its abstract presentation and minimalist interface put the focus on strategic decisions rather than visual detail.
The army has just two unit types, each with clear trade-offs. Light units are cheaper, work well in numbers, and perform across most terrain; heavy units move and maneuver less readily, but hit harder and withstand more damage on clear ground. Cities produce and supply troops, yet each supports only a limited force: excess units starve. That makes city control and army size closely connected tactical concerns.
Matches can be solo or team-based, with ranked PvP, casual play, and custom map creation among the listed modes. Full replays let players review both sides’ moves.
