Volleying is a casual sports game built around a simple objective: control your sphere and make the ball touch the opponent’s ground. Instead of relying on pre-calculated animations, it makes the ball’s bounce and the player’s timing central to each exchange. That physics-led approach gives matches an unpredictable feel, with the outcome shaped by movement and contact rather than a fixed sequence.
The rules add urgency to every rally. After touching the ball, a player has ten seconds to send it over the net or it explodes and costs them a point. A jump-and-dash move can help reach difficult shots, but it needs time to recharge. Arcade mode adds temporary twists through random court items that can change a player’s size or the ball’s, turning the underlying volley into a more chaotic contest.
The format ranges from head-to-head play to team matches: Volleying supports one-versus-one, one-versus-two, and two-versus-two, alongside cooperative play against the CPU. Friends can also play together through Steam Remote Play Together.
