Void Crew casts players as a crew defending humanity from the mysterious Hollow, sending them into deep space aboard advanced spacecraft. Its first-person space-adventure premise is less about one pilot’s journey than keeping a ship and its crew functioning amid hostile aliens, human scavengers, and hazards such as asteroid storms and solar flares.
That pressure is built into the work aboard the vessel: players can pilot, man turrets, make emergency repairs, recharge power cells, and fabricate munitions. Some tasks take crew members outside the ship to patch its hull or scavenge derelict wrecks. In combat, the crew must contend with armor and energy shields, choosing among tactics such as missile barrages or targeting weak spots. Flexible roles and ship systems that can be installed during a run support changing priorities, while scavenged materials can be used for upgrades and spacesuit customization.
The game supports solo play as well as cooperative crews of up to six, and its listed modes include online co-op. Either way, Void Crew’s defining setup is cooperative spacecraft management under pressure, with combat and repair work competing for attention.
