Villages & Dungeons is a strategy card game with roguelite elements, built around expeditions through randomized dungeons. Encounters and events can change from run to run, while the game’s multiverse setting frames each adventure as a distinct chain of choices. Rather than presenting a fixed route, it asks players to adapt as the expedition unfolds.
Its compact “1+4” deck-building system pairs one core card with four support cards. Five elements, rune customization and a pool of more than 300 cards offer different ways to shape a build, while in-run crafting and card evolution make deck decisions part of the journey itself. Dungeon modules, treasures, foes and encounters also vary; choices may lead to recovery, upgrades or unpredictable warps. Loot salvaged from failed runs feeds meta-progression, giving setbacks a role beyond a single attempt.
The store lists Villages & Dungeons as single-player, so its design centers on an individual player’s decisions rather than a shared session.
