VALKYRIE CONNECT frames its Japanese RPG adventure in a fantasy world shaped like an anime take on Norse mythology. Its roster spans familiar elves and dwarves as well as Jotun and Aesir, giving its collectible-hero premise a mythic range. Progression is layered: heroes can gain levels and stars, receive stat-boosting orbs and gear, and, for certain characters, awaken to unlock passive skills.
Combat pairs quick activation with party planning. Each hero has skills and a distinctive Limit Burst, a flashy attack that can turn a battle; matching Limit Bursts across heroes strengthens the effect. That creates a clear team-building choice alongside the broad upgrade system, while keeping skill use focused on timing rather than lengthy input sequences. The game also distinguishes ordinary hero development from gear progression, since equipment can be improved separately.
Its cooperative play gives this RPG a social, boss-focused dimension. Real-time Connect Battles let friends take on large bosses together, while raids support groups of up to 20 players and reward materials used to craft equippable artifacts.
