Use Your Words is a local party game built around making jokes from prompts rather than relying on a hand of prepared cards. Players tackle mini-games by writing a punchline, subtitle or caption, then gather to vote for their favorite answers. Phones and tablets serve as controllers, giving everyone a way to submit responses without needing a traditional gamepad.
Its four mini-games give that format several comic angles. In Sub The Title, players add subtitles to clips from older foreign films; Blank-o-Matic asks them to finish a sentence; EXTRA, EXTRA! turns a ridiculous photo into a caption or clickbait headline; and Survey Says offers a rapid-fire, game-show-style round. House Answers add a bluffing option: someone stuck for an idea can use one to set a trap for the others during voting. A Family Mode filters adult or otherwise controversial prompts.
The game is designed for three to six local players, with as many as 1,000 spectators able to watch and vote. Remote play is also described as possible through streaming or video conference, keeping the focus on shared jokes and group reactions rather than a conventional solo campaign.
