Unravel Two follows two small Yarnys through a journey shaped by connection and mutual support. Players create a Yarny of their own, while the adventure frames friendship as both its emotional center and a practical way to face the world’s challenges. Its setting shifts from a cold, imposing landscape toward places that blossom with new life, giving the story a sense of change alongside its themes of hope and fear.
The central design keeps two Yarnys in play: friends can work together in local co-op, or a solo player can control both characters. Cooperation means helping one another through tricky trials and traversing environments together, while single-player play brings special abilities for the pair. Movement and problem solving include jumping, sliding, swinging and running, with challenges set across natural landscapes inspired by Scandinavia and complex urban spaces. The game combines these platforming actions with a heartfelt story featuring friendly characters, relationships and monsters.
Its appeal rests on how movement, puzzles and the bond between the characters work together, whether players tackle the journey alone or cooperatively.
