Players can fish in lakes, rivers, canals, and tropical coastal waters, with species ranging from roach to tiger sharks. Its simulation emphasis is visible in how fish respond: cautious species may be elusive, while aggressive ones can put up a serious fight, and catches vary in size and weight.
The fishing itself supports float, bottom, spinning, and casting methods, with gear to customize for changing weather, time of day, and fish behavior. An underwater camera and functional sonar add ways to observe what is happening below the surface.
