TurnSignal is a free VR utility designed to help prevent headset cords from twisting and tangling. Its central visual is the “Flower,” an overlay on the play-space floor that twists as the player turns, making cord rotation visible during VR use. Rather than presenting itself as a standalone game with a conventional campaign, TurnSignal is built to accompany other in-game activity.
The utility offers controls for adjusting the overlay’s opacity, height, scale and twist rate, along with options to reset rotation tracking or toggle the display. Players can also choose the Chaperone color, link visibility to how twisted the cord is, or show the Flower only while the SteamVR Dashboard is open. A controller-settings link supports placing the Flower on a hand instead of the floor, while a separate option lets the overlay follow the player with an adjustable speed setting.
The settings emphasize adapting the visual cue to different play styles, including choices about where it appears and how noticeable it is. Its straightforward purpose and adjustable overlay are the defining parts of the experience.
