Trigon: Space Story is a single-player, roguelike strategy game built around commanding a ship through a dangerous galaxy. Its campaign frames the captain’s role as a series of personal and moral choices: you might pursue fortune, rule through force, or try to become the galaxy’s hero. Those decisions sit alongside practical demands, as you explore stations and abandoned colonies, gather resources, and encounter alien races with distinct technologies and philosophies.
Combat is tactical rather than simply a matter of firing everything at once. You can pause to assess a fight, deploy crew according to their strengths, and make use of an arsenal spanning lasers, turrets, plasma cannons, bombs, and drones. Resources can improve weapons and onboard technology, while the ship and its crew both shape your approach. Permanent death makes misjudgments consequential, and the game encourages experimentation with strategies across procedurally generated journeys and dynamic events. An endless mode adds another format alongside the story campaign.
Trigon’s central appeal is the way ship management, crew assignments, tactical encounters, and captaincy decisions feed into a replayable space adventure; its play format is explicitly single-player, with the challenge resting on the player’s own choices.
