TRIANGLE STRATEGY sets its conflict in Norzelia, where the Holy State of Hyzante, the Grand Duchy of Aesfrost and the Kingdom of Glenbrook share a fragile balance after a history of resource wars. An incident threatens that order, placing the protagonist and allies amid a political struggle shaped by the player’s decisions. The story’s choices build convictions associated with Utility, Morality and Liberty, influencing the route forward and which allied units join the cause.
Major decisions use the Scales of Conviction: allies vote on the outcome, and the player can try to persuade them. Combat shifts from political deliberation to terrain-focused tactics. Elevation and positioning matter, while flanking can trigger follow-up attacks and allies can coordinate their abilities. Different character traits also inform party formation, giving battles a layered strategic character rather than reducing them to straightforward exchanges.
Between battles, the Encampment provides a place to speak with allies and buy goods. Characters and weapons can be strengthened at its Sundry Shop and Smithy, and the Tavern offers Mental Mock Battles with varied victory conditions.
