TRAPPED places players in a town swallowed by a toxic outbreak, where people and animals have become savage mutants and armed soldiers treat survivors as targets too. The immediate aims are to stay alive, find friends, and contest key locations before the spreading danger overwhelms the town. That mix of mutant threat and hostile military forces gives the survival premise a two-sided conflict rather than a simple fight against monsters.
Combat can be played alone or in faction-based co-op, with friends able to join during a game. The game also supports private or public sessions, alongside PvP. Mutants emerge in three classes that grow larger and more deadly as a session continues, making time part of the pressure. Capturable areas give teams objectives beyond fighting, while the combat AI may flank, flee, or call for help depending on the situation and an NPC’s personality.
Rather than presenting the outbreak as a fixed battlefield, its design brings contested locations, escalating mutant danger, and reactive opponents together in a town that players must try to hold.
