Transport Fever turns the growth of a transport company into a long-range planning challenge. Beginning in 1850, players connect places that need service, build transport infrastructure, and aim to make money while cities change around them. Its railroad focus sits within a broader network-building premise: roads, rail, water, and air routes can all form part of the company’s reach.
The work goes beyond laying track. Players can connect stations, airports, and harbors, carry passengers, and supply industries through linked freight chains. The game combines simulated passenger movement and urban development with an economy and freight model, so routes serve both people’s needs and industrial demand. Its vehicle roster spans trains, aircraft, ships, buses, trams, and trucks, giving the network multiple forms of transport to coordinate.
Transport Fever offers two distinct ways to play. Endless mode supports building across randomly generated, modifiable terrain, while the American and European campaigns organize historical transportation challenges into missions of increasing difficulty.
