Trainz Railroad Simulator 2019 is a railway simulation built around three ways to engage with its world: drive locomotives, oversee a railroad staffed by AI drivers, or create and edit routes. That combination makes it more than a sequence of driving sessions. Players can take the controls themselves, issue commands to AI operators running multiple trains, or shape the trackside landscape with the route-building tools.
Driving supports simple and realistic control modes, alongside an AI Command mode for managing drivers. The game’s tools let players edit existing routes and sessions, adjust terrain and ground textures, and add or replace track and scenery. Its built-in routes span settings from the Canadian Rockies to Italy and Cornwall, while interactive sessions give those locations specific railway activities.
