Towers of Aghasba follows the Shimu people as they return to their island after fleeing the Withered, a force that drained the land of life. You play as a junior architect, rebuilding settlements while helping Aghasba’s damaged ecosystems recover. That paired goal gives the adventure a distinctive focus: restoration is as central as exploration and combat.
The open world invites players to traverse varied terrain, climb mountains and glide across valleys. In settlements, you plan and decorate villages that become inhabited by Shimu, while ecological work involves growing plants and attracting and feeding animals. Beyond these creative systems, the Withered Lands bring danger: players can craft weapons, armor and elixirs before fighting the monsters that infest the blighted areas. The game also encourages discovery through encounters with unusual creatures and the history of the Shimu.
Play can be solo or cooperative. The documented co-op mode supports up to four players exploring, building, collecting resources and restoring ecosystems together, with each person retaining a distinct island. The listing describes multiplayer as cooperative, without player-versus-player combat.
