Tower of Fantasy places its adventure on Aida, a distant planet where humanity settled after dwindling resources and an energy shortage drove people from Earth. The discovery of Omnium in the comet Mara led to the construction of a tower intended to capture that energy, but radiation from Omnium brought catastrophe to the new homeworld. That post-apocalyptic backdrop frames an open-world journey through alien landscapes and futuristic structures.
Exploration is paired with combat that emphasizes switching between characters’ distinctive weapons and their different gameplay styles. Players can adjust their character development freely, interact with the surrounding world, and uncover character backstories as they travel. Rather than separating the setting from the fighting, the game presents exploration, discovery, and battles as parts of one continuous fantasy adventure.
The listed play options include co-op and PvP, giving the multiplayer premise more than one form. Counts can therefore provide a snapshot of activity around a game whose design centers on both open-world exploration and online company.
