In Tower Dominion, the empire is under attack by the Artronids, and the player takes the role of Commander tasked with holding the line. This single-player strategy game frames defense as an active effort to reshape the battlefield, rather than simply placing fortifications along a fixed route.
Terrain manipulation is central to the design. Players can expand and modify tiles to raise choke points, redirect enemy paths, and steer invaders toward artillery or traps; height and route planning are presented as tools for controlling the fight. Factions bring distinct biomes, towers, and strategies, while heroes contribute their own abilities. After each wave, players choose upgrades and rewards, then adjust defenses to meet the next threat. The combination of tile placement and changing enemy waves makes adaptation a defining part of each battle.
The game also offers four difficulty levels and an endless mode called Frontier Mode, alongside unlockable heroes, building upgrades, and Codex secrets. These systems support repeated solo runs with different tactical decisions, rather than a player-count format built around a stated team size.
