Touhou Genso Wanderer -Reloaded- is a roguelike RPG set in the world of Touhou Project, where Reimu Hakurei investigates a mysterious tower after the shopkeeper Rinnosuke Morichika suddenly turns against her. The adventure unfolds in Gensokyo, with a story centered on the Gold Sphere and a cast drawn from across the Touhou series.
Dungeon runs are turn-based: moving one square or taking an action gives enemies a turn, while standing still leaves them in place. Each new dungeon resets the character’s level to one and reshuffles its layout and ground items, giving exploration a changing structure. Unlike a typical roguelike, the game lets players keep their items after defeat, making scavenging a lasting part of the journey.
The experience pairs that shifting dungeon design with accessibility options, including a Cross Menu for character controls, three adjustable game speeds, and customizable interface size and minimap placement. More than 120 Touhou characters appear as friends and foes, with abilities and traits represented from their original games. The result combines repeatable dungeon exploration with a story campaign and a broad ensemble, while offering settings for different play styles. A dungeon’s specific contents can vary from run to run.
