Total War: PHARAOH DYNASTIES expands its Bronze Age setting across a campaign map stretching from the Aegean through Mesopotamia to Ancient Egypt. The enlarged sandbox adds settlements, historical landmarks and victory objectives, while its playable powers include Babylon, the Assyrians of Hanigalbat, Mycenae and Troy. The broader setting frames campaigns around the upheaval of the Bronze Age collapse, with additional minor factions also available to lead.
Its strategic layer combines territorial expansion with a Dynasty system that makes family and succession part of a ruler’s legacy. Players can arrange strategic marriages and face battlefield deaths, assassinations and the effects of old age. Sea Travel Lanes let fleets carrying armies move faster, supporting raids and invasions across the expanded map. Battles draw on a large roster of new and reworked units, including cavalry, camel riders and faction-specific troops such as the Guards of Troy; the Lethality modifier makes charges and missile volleys more decisive for both attackers and targets.
The result is a strategy game organized around both long-term rule and direct military confrontation, rather than a single isolated battle format. Access also requires ownership of Total War: PHARAOH, as Dynasties is not presented as a standalone game.
