Time of Fury casts the player as a decision-maker in the European theater of World War II, following the conflict across its full span. Its scale is conveyed through a campaign map of more than 47,000 hexes and scenarios featuring large armies. Rather than focus on a single branch of combat, it lets players command ground, air, and naval forces, choosing one country or a combination of nations.
The strategy reaches beyond battlefield movement. Players manage supply and logistics, spend resources on units and research, and use diplomacy to influence neutral nations’ readiness and entry into the war. Each country has distinct strengths and drawbacks, while weather, terrain, and fog of war shape decisions. Historical events add choices with competing consequences, such as whether Germany should seek a quick surrender from France or continue fighting French forces overseas. The game also includes technology research and the option to upgrade obsolete units.
It also allows a player to control opposing factions, or to divide control among selected countries while the AI handles the rest. This is a turn-based, broad-front strategy experience built around managing a war across many nations, not a match-based action game.
