Time in Time is a side-scrolling puzzle-platformer that turns timing into its central resource. Each level gives you a set number of seconds, and you must decide how to spend them while working toward the level’s completion target. The game describes itself as hard, with progress to later levels and achievements tied to finishing within specific times.
Its distinctive twist is that platforms and other functional objects are controlled by timers. Each functional has its own timer, and it runs after you spend time on that timer, making the sequence of actions as important as the route through a level. Rather than simply navigating obstacles, you must manage a limited time budget and coordinate objects whose effects are delayed.
The integrated level and shader editor extends the game beyond its authored puzzle-platforming: players can make levels, customize shaders, add music, and sync shader effects with music. Steam Workshop is included, alongside single-player play.
