Throne of Lies®: Medieval Politics is a 3D social-deduction game built around deception, investigation, strategy, and role play. Players are secretly assigned to one of four factions: the Blue Dragon, the Unseen, the Cult, or Neutral. The Blue Dragon seeks to identify hostile factions and defend the throne, while the Unseen and Cult work against it; the Cult can also convert a good-aligned player. That shifting allegiance makes trust as important as uncovering evidence.
Its distinctive structure alternates public argument with secret action. During the day, players discuss findings, accuse suspects, and, from the second day onward, can trigger a trial by voting for a player. A trial requires at least three votes for the same suspect, after which everyone chooses execution or pardon. At night, role-specific abilities enable actions such as spying, occupying, conspiring, and killing. Investigation notes, public chat, and private whispers to the King give players different ways to assemble or distort the story.
The game supports six to sixteen players, with Quick, Duel, and Classic modes shaping the role mix and complexity. Quick uses selected roles and excludes conversion, Duel draws from three factions and leaves out Neutral, while Classic randomly assigns roles across all four factions.
