Threefold Recital is an adventure set in Bluescales, an oriental-fantasy metropolis where magic and technology coexist. Humans, beastlings, and dragons share a city unsettled by the return of an ancient art once thought lost. At its center are Triratna, Taiqing, and Transia, three beastlings whose linked storylines uncover a conspiracy amid the city’s turmoil.
The game’s defining structure is its trio of distinct abilities: Triratna can see and sever karma lines, Taiqing practices substance transmutation and Daoist spells, and Transia can enter paintings and alter appearances. Players switch perspectives and combine the heroes’ powers to solve mysteries and overcome obstacles. Their separate storylines gradually converge, making character changes part of both the narrative and the puzzle-solving design.
Listed as a single-player adventure, Threefold Recital is built around guiding these heroes through a connected story rather than shared multiplayer sessions.
