Three Kingdoms : Alias is a single-player Three Kingdoms strategy simulation built around uncertainty about the people in your command. Officers appear under aliases, and their real identities, abilities and loyalty are not immediately known. Rather than simply selecting familiar historical figures, you investigate recruits and decide where to place them, with the risk that an apparent talent may prove less useful than expected.
The broader strategy covers personnel, warfare, governance, diplomacy, espionage and duels, while a blind talent market makes recruitment a guessing game. Investigation gradually exposes officers’ stats and loyalty, so staffing a front line or assigning someone to manage farms can carry consequences beyond their apparent credentials. Its roguelike structure also reshuffles the circumstances of each game: players begin in a random city with a random officer draft, making the available talent and surrounding rivals different from run to run.
That mix of hidden identities and variable starting conditions gives the game a distinct single-player format: its challenge centers on adapting a strategy to uncertain personnel and a changing political map, rather than coordinating with other players.
