TheoTown is a city-building simulation about turning a small settlement into a metropolis, with room to design and expand multiple cities across large regions. Its focus is both creative and administrative: players shape urban districts, then provide the services and infrastructure that keep those places functioning as they grow.
Zoning is central to that work. Residential, commercial, and industrial districts need power and water, while traffic management can lead into building bus networks, railways, airports, and highways. Players can control routes and vehicle types as they optimize movement through the city. Fires, crime, pollution, disease outbreaks, and natural disasters add further pressures; education and public services offer ways to support living standards and long-term growth.
The game also invites visual ambition, from constructing landmarks and world wonders to extending the experience with community-created plugins that add buildings, mechanics, and customization options. Steam lists TheoTown as single-player as well as multi-player, with cross-platform multiplayer also supported.
