The White Door follows Robert Hill, who wakes in a mental health facility with severe memory loss. Its point-and-click adventure structure ties his stay to a strict daily routine, while the larger goal is to help him recover memories. That focused setup gives the story an unusual frame: ordinary activities sit alongside dreams, riddles and surreal events.
Play is organized around following the facility’s routine and exploring Robert’s dreams. Brain teasers and riddles make recollection interactive rather than purely narrative, and the split-screen presentation is a distinctive part of the design. The game also describes each day as having its own atmosphere, with suspense and unexpected developments shaping the experience. A haunting soundtrack and special achievements round out its stated features.
The single-player format makes this a solitary, story-led adventure rather than a session built around competing or cooperating with other players. It is developed by Rusty Lake, the creators of the Cube Escape and Rusty Lake series.
