Set in 1645, the game follows scholar Fang Zhiyou after grief and heavy drinking leave him trapped in Lion Camel Kingdom, the macabre world he once created in his writing. With demon soldiers attacking the city, Fang vows to protect Little Yan, a girl who resembles his lost love. Their flight through the siege ties a personal story of memory and loss to a nightmare shaped by the Ten Days of Yangzhou, a historical tragedy.
The core play is built around survival decisions: players choose where to hide, when to flee, whether to bargain, or whether to fight. The story brings past and present together, with choices leading to multiple main endings and many possible deaths.
The presentation pairs hundreds of hand-crafted CG illustrations, described as blending oil-painting textures with modern anime aesthetics, with fully voiced dialogue and an original soundtrack. Historical research informs the clothing and architecture, while the setting’s monsters and Fang’s own imagined kingdom give the siege a dark-fantasy frame. Together, these elements make the game a narrative-led adventure focused on desperate choices, rather than a multiplayer action format.
