The Wandering Village turns a post-apocalyptic settlement into a journey across the back of a giant creature. Toxic spores drive survivors to seek refuge on Onbu, and the player leads their community through a world where survival depends on caring for both the villagers and their enormous host. That unusual partnership gives the game’s city-building premise a living, mobile foundation.
Village planning is shaped by the limited space available on Onbu: players build structures, organize production chains and try to use the settlement’s footprint efficiently. The relationship with the creature is also a defining choice, framed as either mutual trust and symbiosis or a more exploitative arrangement. As Onbu travels through different biomes, changing climates and local threats call for adaptation; scouting and foraging missions offer access to scarce resources and ancient artefacts, while research can recover technologies from the old world.
The game combines settlement management with survival strategy, asking players to withstand poisonous spores, harsh weather and parasites while keeping Onbu alive as well.
