The Sacred Stone is a hack-and-slash action game about an eighteen-year-old whose parents are killed and whose family’s sacred stone is stolen. As demonic creatures spread through the kingdom, she sets out to reclaim the stone and seek revenge, while discovering that it may be more than it seems. The story unfolds across a world that mixes open exploration with some linear sections.
Combat draws on two fighting styles: spear attacks suited to groups of enemies, and dual swords for one-on-one encounters. The heroine can also teleport to evade danger and learn spells as she levels up. Progress comes through fighting enemies, while quests from characters can involve gathering items, hunting, or helping people reconnect. The game also ties access to some areas to character level or prestige earned by assisting others.
Exploration ranges across places including forests, caves, towns, and volcanic areas, with characters and quests encountered along the way. Enemies have their own levels, and some stronger foes can cast spells to heal themselves. Boss encounters are designed around prolonged battles, with individual bosses given distinct animations and abilities. Together, these systems combine roaming and questing with character growth and demanding action combat. A brief caveat: the developer notes that the game has received substantial changes over time, so older reviews may not reflect its current state.
