Set in the Erebonian Empire after its civil war, The Legend of Heroes: Sen no Kiseki III follows Rean Schwarzer as the country approaches a new era. Once hailed as a hero, he takes up a different responsibility at Thors Military Academy’s Branch Campus in Leeves: instructing Class VII’s Special Duties Division. The campus brings together students from backgrounds that set it apart from the main school, including children of lesser noble houses, dropouts and foreigners.
The story’s focus on Rean and his young students gives the RPG’s military-academy setting a distinct frame: the protagonist is both a central figure in the empire’s changing fortunes and an instructor among a divided student body. Its Steam version also includes high-speed skip and auto-battle modes, alongside options to speed up events, field sections and battles by as much as six times. These conveniences shape the pace of play without changing the premise described for the adventure.
That framing helps explain what the figures represent while keeping attention on the game’s own appeal: its postwar setting, academy cast and adjustable pacing.
