The Last Flame is a single-player roguelike auto-battler built around assembling heroes and shaping a team for each run. Combat is automated, but the surrounding adventure asks you to make consequential choices: manage resources, select a route across the map, and decide how your heroes and gear work together. It is a strategy game about preparation as much as battle.
Recruiting heroes, collecting items and relics, and crafting gear feed into flexible team-building. The game describes a broad pool of heroes, items, relics, and origins, creating room to pursue different synergies rather than follow one fixed composition. Positioning and planning the combat phase remain part of the process, while encounters put those choices to work. Runs advance through five difficulties, offering a structured test of strategic knowledge.
There are several ways to frame a run: progress through ascension difficulties, chase a high score in endless mode, or take on one of the available challenges. Endless play focuses on pushing a build toward the highest floor, while the challenges offer distinct ways to experience the game.
