Team selection shapes each match: choose three fighters and battle through the traditional 3-on-3 system. The combo design adds Climax Cancel, which lets a player connect a Climax Super Special Move from a Super Special Move within the same combo. For newcomers, Rush offers a simpler entry point, allowing combos through repeated Light Punch presses. Story, versus, and gallery modes provide different ways to engage with the game beyond its core team fights.
