In Borgovia, mad science unsettles the peace between monsters and mortals, and Van Helsing sets out to confront the threat alongside Lady Katarina, his ghostly companion. This gothic-noir adventure moves between wilderness and a metropolis shaped by weird science, pairing supernatural peril with wry humor and snappy dialogue. Final Cut gathers three stand-alone episodes into one continuous story, giving its monster-hunting journey a broader narrative frame.
Combat and character building center on six specialist classes, each with its own complex skill tree. Players can fight with steel and guns, wield weird science, or command magic and shadows; a Rage system lets them spend collected points to charge skill modifiers called PowerUps. Lady Katarina has abilities and skills to tailor, while the Hunter’s Lair offers a place to store loot, trade, travel between locations, and forge items. A tower-defense activity adds trap placement and upgrades as enemies attack in waves.
Beyond the campaign, randomly generated scenario maps vary their terrain, monsters, objectives, and special conditions, while daily quests, challenges, and weekly events offer further missions. The endgame adds a Glory system, rare items, and two kinds of currency.
