THE IDOLM@STER STARLIT SEASON is an idol-production game about bringing performers from four THE iDOLM@STER brands together in Project Luminous. Players take the role of a producer, building a new joint unit as its members prepare for the Starlit Season mega event. The story also introduces new idols, placing a fresh group alongside the series’ established performers.
Production combines idol development with planning and live performance. Vocal, Dance, and Visual lessons are presented as timing-based mini-games that grow an idol’s abilities, while schedule management helps the unit work toward its goals. For concerts, players coordinate participating members, costumes, and music, then perform to the song’s rhythm as they seek to win Lives, Auditions, and Festivals and attract more fans.
That mix of management and stage presentation gives the game a clear rhythm: train individual idols, assemble a coordinated unit, and build an audience through competitions and performances. The final challenge is to gather enough fans and succeed at the mega live concert. The game also refreshes the series’ visual presentation, aiming for a more present and realistic depiction of its idols.
