The Hundred Line -Last Defense Academy- Demo Ver. introduces Takumi Sumino, an ordinary teenager whose life changes when monsters attack his town. After a strange being offers him the power to protect those he cares about, Takumi finds himself at Last Defense Academy with 14 other students. Their assignment is to defend the school for 100 days while seeking a way to reclaim their normal lives and save the world. This is a demo of a story built around danger, sacrifice and choices with uncertain consequences.
Its defensive encounters use SRPG battles, where the students’ distinct Specialist Skills help repel the invaders. Between attacks, players can explore the wilderness and ruins beyond the school or spend time with teammates to strengthen their bonds. Items found during exploration can be crafted into gifts, connecting the game’s excursions to its character relationships. That combination of tactical defense, exploration and social interaction gives the academy’s war a personal as well as strategic dimension.
The premise frames play as a 100-day crisis, while the demo’s store description identifies it as the first part of the larger adventure. The demo presents those elements as parts of an adventure whose outcomes can vary with the choices players make.
